First Dog Blessing at IBP
DOG HAVEN: Iloilo Business Park marks the first-ever Dog Blessing on October 24, 4PM in front of Richmonde Tower where more than a hundred of dog participants and dog lovers in Iloilo gathered for the blessing officiated by Rev. Fr. Dennis Galon. The township is now a certified dog-friendly and dog-haven lifestyle destination in the region.

More than 150 dogs and dog owners participated in SPOOKY PAW-RADE, the first ever Dog Halloween Costume Parade and Fun Match held in front of Richmonde Tower at Iloilo Business Park last October 24, 2:30PM to 7PM. The event started off with a Dog Parade from Richmonde Tower going to McDonald’s IBP. The first-ever Dog Blessing was officiated by Rev. Father Dennis Galon. It was followed by a formal opening program with IBP Marketing Head, Jennifer Ann Palmares-Fong who willingly shared her excitement through a short welcome message.

Expert dog trainer, Bong Ledesma showcased various dog tricks that entrainment the crowd as an intermission performance. Around 5:30PM, the Dog Fun Match and Conformation started off by introducing seasoned veterinarian, Dr. Harold Demaisip as competition judge. The Fun Match and Conformation was divided into four categories such as Puppy, Small Breed, Medium Breed and Large Breed. Pack Leader K9 Dog Training Head, Joseph Jiro Gabasa demonstrated with his dog Connan, a Belgian Malinois on how to train your pets in protecting you against aggression. The highlight of the event is the Dog Halloween Costume Contest and Mini-fashion where dog owners and their pets paraded onstage with creatively scary and colorful attires. IBP, Pack Leader and Jaro Dog Lovers present SPOOKY PAW-RADE
Throughout history, Dogs are popularly considered as “man’s best friend.” These soft-hearted and playful pets have more than hundreds of different breeds, and there are at least around 400 million dogs in the world today. In Iloilo City, there are various groups of Ilonggos whose passion is to train and educated dog owners how to take care of their pets. For them, having a dog as a pet comes with responsibility to nourish and provide them with a healthy life they deserved.
One of those active organizations in Iloilo City that promotes dog welfare and wellness is Pack Leader K9 Dog Training led by Dog Head Trainer, Joseph Jiro Gabasa. The organization has been around for several years and remained committed to pursue the well-being of dogs and equipped dog owners with the much needed knowledge on how to train their pets. The event is a gathering of dogs and their owners in Iloilo City that will showcase various activities and contests such as dog parade, dog blessing, dog fun match and dog product booths.
